Sumatra Benzoin - Resin

Benzoin is a resin that gives off a sweet and enveloping essence. It was highly esteemed in the Middle East, both for its aroma and its therapeutic virtues. Given the sharp character of its final notes, it is burned in small doses. The aroma it releases is persistent.

Here is how to use it:

Light a charcoal tablet and place it in a heat-resistant incense burner filled with ash or sand. Distribute small doses of resin onto the charcoal. You can use either pure resins or a combination of resins, herbs, and oils. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Use with caution. Ventilate the room after use. Avoid inhaling the smoke directly.

Remember, smudging is a ritual based on intent. With a sincere heart and a noble desire, you will intensify its effect.
