Iwachu incense burner - Lotus flower

Light your favorite Japanese incense with this refined cast iron incense burner!

The lotus flower symbolizes both physical and spiritual purity. Metaphorically, the murky water in which the lotus thrives represents attachment and worldly desires, while its immaculate flower represents the hope of redemption. According to legend, when Buddha came into the world, he began to walk, and with every step he took, a lotus flower bloomed on the ground.

The sacred lotus is also a symbol of longevity: seeds found in the Chinese province of Liaoning sprouted after remaining in a dormant state for over 1,300 years!
