Church incense, Olibanum, Frankincense - Resin
Small pieces of hardened resin from a revered tree that grows in desolate areas. This is the distinctive aroma of churches. Since time immemorial, it has been used to purify and instill tranquility. Viewed as a luxury good, it was an integral part of a thriving trade in Sumeria and Egypt 5,000 years ago.
How to use it:
Light a charcoal disk and place it in a heat-resistant censer filled with ash or sand. Sprinkle small amounts of resin onto the charcoal. You can use either pure resins or a combination of resins, herbs, and oils. Keep out of reach of children and pets. Use with caution. Air out the room after use. Avoid inhaling the smoke directly.
Remember, smudging is a ritual based on intent. With a sincere heart and a noble desire, you will intensify its effect.
